I had the opportunity to photograph the Mad Hatter’s Gala on Saturday. It was a really great event: awesome decorations, great food, many silent auction items, superb entertainment, a lot of money raised for Grant MacEwan, and many great hats!

Some items were silent auction items, others were won with raffle tickets. Later in the night there was also a live auction! A lot of really great items!

And then the winner of the best hat was announced! It was who I thought it should be :). What an extraordinary hat! The top of it shone in the dark as well :).
And then, we were treated to a performance by Tyler Hamilton (Canadian Idol). He was accompanied by Grant MacEwan’s finest band.
And in the volunteer room I was able to get a quick shot of the group with Tyler!
And a late appearance, but one nonetheless by Miss Rodeo Canada!
Hats off to all of the sponsors and contributors to Edmonton’s 2009 Mad Hatter’s Gala. It was a great success!
