Melissa & Dan’s Wedding Photographs

Melissa & Dan’s wedding was a blast from beginning to end and we think it shows in the pictures for sure.

The jewelry.

Love shots of wine and champagne.

The ring bearer sees the flower girl for the first time.  Awww!

Mike was at the groom’s getting ready and took this shot which was so appropriate!  Read below to see what was in store for Dan on his wedding day!

Have you ever seen such an excited groom before a ceremony?

A mom-son hug.  This wedding was full of “awww” moments.

The beautiful bride was led by her mother.

With a ceremony and photographs at the Devonian Gardens, the reflection shots are a must.

This is probably my favorite bouquet shot of the year.

Melissa risked getting her dress messy to take some pictures in a canola field on the way back,

The first dance.

Every wedding has at least one of these!

This was a fun game.  Guests had to pass the plunger around like a hot potato and the one stuck with it when the music stopped was out.

“Come on baby do the locomotion!”

Nothing was plain at this wedding.  The groom had to dance towards the bride before removing her garter.  When the dancing wasn’t “cool” the groomsmen had to pull him back and he’d start over.

Love this picture Mike took.

And Melissa throws the bouquet.

On a side note here, I must say I really enjoyed the JP for Melissa and Dan’s wedding.  His name was Robert Ligertwood and his email is che9@hotmail.com for anyone who’s interested!

Baby Easton!

Once again I had the opportunity to photograph a little baby!  I always consider this such an honor to capture someone at this super-important moment of their lives when everything is new and they are at their cutest.  We met Easton’s parents and got to know them better when we photographed their engagement and wedding photos in 2007.  Sharing in this next important phase in life was like the icing on the cake.  Maybe one day Easton will use one of these photos in her wedding slideshow!

Mom and Dad have hopes that Easton will be a baseball player one day.

This one is my favorite.

Easton started getting tired…

And fell asleep.

My other favorite.

Jen & Craig’s Wedding

Jen and Craig’s wedding happened on a beautiful Saturday and was full of great moments, some of which will be explained below!  We had too many pics to choose from after shooting for 16 hours, so skipped the getting ready here.

The St. Joseph’s Cathedral.

The following two pictures are inspired by “Where’s Waldo?” books we’ve all enjoyed as kids!  Can you spot the bride and groom?

The three beautiful bridesmaids.

Craig did an awesome job pretending to be angry for this picture :).

Here is one of the groomsmen having fun!

A few of Jen by herself…

The bridal party entered with sangria to start off the party!

As you can see, the guests loved this idea!

The guests were to write wishes on leaves to the couple.  One of their young guests wrote what we think says: “I wish I had the in Legends(??) video game”.  We just had to get a detail shot of that!

A couple candids:

The tables were named after places that had special meaning to the bride and groom.  First they found their name on the map, then found the table decorated with their city.

There were different favors on every table!  This was the first time we’ve seen so many great favor ideas all in one wedding!  Here are just some of them.

The reception was full of smiles and tears.

The dance was beautiful.  It took place just as the sun was setting outside the Holiday Inn Express and the great blue sky was a nice background for an already beautiful couple.

There’s always that friend who is in charge of selling drink tickets :)

Renee & Charles Fort Edmonton Pictures

We had a great (though rainy) day with Renee and Charles at Fort Edmonton.  The two were already married in Europe, but had a formal session here along with a little reception.  Here is a sample of our super-cool pictures!

Charles wanted some fun bar scene photos with his brothers and Dad.

This is my all-time favorite.

Now I know everyone’s been wondering: can a bride washing dishes make for a good romantic photograph? Renee and Charles prove below that indeed, it can!

Here we shut off our flashes and used natural light to get the glow.

And now some fun in the amusement park!

And finally time to say goodbye.  Well, in to the photos from this session anyways!
