I thought I should end with what the cover actually looks like! The cover was designed by Woolsey Design. I was lucky enough to see the other design options for the cover too, and would definitely recommend Woolsey Design if you are a music artist looking for an awesome CD cover design!
The Mernard family is a beautiful group that all got together this summer in Edmonton and wanted to take some photos while all were together… that’s where we came in! We loved the different personalities of each smaller family grouping within the large group and enjoyed taking some fun photographs of each couple, child and the different groupings. The first image is where it all started: the grandparents :).
“Are you free on X date to do some photography?”, Wendy asked. I counted. She couldn’t want maternity photos yet! (We often get this call a year or two after our couples’ wedding dates!) I was soon to find out she was throwing a surprise party for Neville, her husband, who’s team had placed 5th in the Vancouver Olympics in bobsled! I was stoked to be able to commemorate the party! During the party she handed Neville a card and gift certificate for a photo session in our studio, so he will have some awesome pictures for his sports room (I know most men don’t have one of these, so please hold off from jealousy here).
The studio session was awesome. Neville wore his uniform, and sported other Olympic apparel as well. It was such an honor to photograph an athlete that works so hard to represent Canada and gave his all this past Olympic season! Neville, we are so proud of you! Wendy, you are probably the best wife ever!
